asha Trinh is working very hard to develop rituals, be present and take action. asha finds joy in performing the slew of often repetitive and attention demanding tasks they are assigned at their job at lucky risograph, a risograph studio in nyc. they are grateful to practice, with their own hands, the production of beautiful, physical objects, and, through workshops, teach others how to do the same.
for some time now they have been regularly participating in and organizing a mutual aid cooking kitchen once composed of acquaintances and strangers who have (with ease) grown to become close friends. they are learning what small-scale worldbuilding can look like and the generative beauty of problem solving that takes them outside of themselves (like figuring out how many pounds of chard you need to fill two catering trays, it is much more than you would think). they have recently started a book club with their partner and are in the midst of gathering members to start working on their local community garden.
asha is the featured artist of our first issue of grouphug

people in this city constantly come together to make one another's lives better and easier.
it's important for us to recognize these organizations seeing as the work they do is fundamental to the wellbeing of new yorkers, and rarely are they given the attention they deserve – often in favor of predatory or wasteful large non-profits and charities.
following our production schedule we donate at least 10% of our profits from the sale of every release to these organizations.

the friendly fridge BX is a food hub powered by community in
the Bronx, dedicated to combating food insecurity and reducing
food waste. established in may 2020 by sara allen and selma
raven, the project operates a publicly accessible food hub at 4670
broadway, near the last stop of the 1 train at 242nd street. it is open
to anyone to take or donate food without judgment or barriers.
each month, the friendly fridge BX redirects over 70,000 pounds
of surplus healthy food—ranging from fresh produce to prepared
meals—from local schools, restaurants, markets, community
organizations, and nearby farms, directly into the hands of those in
need. by partnering with more than 25 local entities, the initiative
not only addresses hunger but also promotes environmental
sustainability by preventing edible food from ending up in landfills.
the principles behind the Friendly Fridge BX emphasize
mutual aid and community solidarity, encouraging residents to
participate by donating food, volunteering, or simply spreading
the word. their mission is to normalize sharing food resources and
foster a culture where everyone can support one another.

we the people are an abolitionist mutual aid collective of neighbors supporting neighbors - committed to fostering a safe, equitable, and loving culture, in bed stuy and harlem that will serve as a catalyst for mutual aid efforts in surrounding communities.
On the corners of fulton & nostrand and 125th & lexington, they have created examples of what they believe the world can look like, a place where everyone is fed, taken care of, and held in a trusted and loving community. as a direct response to being continuously failed by broken systems, they center and prioritize all Black people in our mission to affect immediate and significant change. for over a year, we have provided hot food and material support to anyone in need, we have become a reliable pillar of emotional and tangible support for our neighbors and friends, and a meaningful engine for revolutionary change.
built from a foundation of effective organizing sees itself growing into a network of mutual aid efforts that can contribute resources in the form of food, materials, and information.

there’s no reason for anything to be made in a vacuum, and we certainly aren’t interested in making the attempt.
as such, we feel compelled to share with you what drives us, motivates our decisions, and where we all look to for insight:
